The palette selected for this iteration of the Zoom Vomero 5 is set for an early 2023 release. For its latest batch of retros, the Cushlon-assisted silhouette has taken on several tonal and muted color combinations, seemingly in an effort to capture the hearts of “dad shoe” enthusiasts.
The earth brown dominates the upper via the webbed panelling, heel cage and plastic eyestay support. The grey mesh provides a strong contrast and one that is necessary in order for the shoe’s details to remain visible. Contrast stitching on the toe panels also helps this balance, along with a sky-blue hit featured on the back portion of the sole that nods to the “Oatmeal” release from ’22.
Cream laces are threaded above, matching the sail-coloured Cushlon technology that earnt the Vomero 5 its superior cushioning status. Expect the usual branding on this Vomero 5 with the tongue patch and insole “Bowerman Series” logo, a weak spot for any serious sneakerhead.

The Nike Zoom Vomero is a cushioning shoe that – in a relatively short amount of time – conquered the hearts (and feet) of an amazing number of runners. Known for its soft and unique cushioning, it is now at the fifth edition and is as usual presented in both a mens and a womens specifically engineered version. The new Vomero 5 presents Zoom Air cushioning both in the heel and the forefoot, a redesigned midfoot section and updates to the fit.
